After weeks of waiting to get on the field due to inclement weather the Camden Lady Bue Devils opened the 2013 campaign with a 6-5 loss to Whitesboro at Westmoreland Road Elementary.
Laura Ward was 3-4 with a double and 2 RBI’s while freshmen Hayley Kelley went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s in her Varsity debut.
Heather Beers took the loss, pitching 6 innings with a walk and three strikeouts.
Camden is scheduled to play at Clinton on Saturday, weather permitting.
